The most primary base for all birds in origami is basically the bird base. You can create flapping birds and all the other types of birds. Here's what you need to know to get the bird base:

The fish base is commonly used for marine animals such as fish etc. The fish base is basically used for origami like the koi fish and much more complicated type of origami that may take a while. *The Frog Base
The frog base is also another base that is used for frog and once again for complex models. This is part of the main 3 bases of origami. The frog base, the bird base , and the fish base. All 3 of these origami bases are very important in creating complex and simple origami bases. These aren't the only 3 bases ,but are one of many.
